Staycation Sark - things to do

Painting, walking, cycling

Watercolour Classes with Rosanne Guille - 10% discount on the normal hourly price!

Watercolour classes on  Sark are a wonderful way to escape the stresses of modern life while learning a new skill.  The natural beauty of the island’s scenery has inspired generations of artists from William Turner to Mervyn Peake.

Watercolour painting has been Rosanne’s preferred choice of medium for almost thirty years.  Her style of tuition is very relaxed and the emphasis is on developing each individual’s level of ability, in fact, no previous knowledge is necessary.  For those wanting to learn the basics, to artists who simply want to improve their watercolour or drawing techniques, a holiday on Sark is the ideal place to learn.

Rosanne has been teaching watercolour painting and drawing for over fifteen years and offers tutoring on a one to one basis and also for small groups of up to eight students.  All materials are provided.

Rosanne and Peter have built their own house, ‘La Maison Rouge’ where their studios are based.  They are able to provide accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis for up to four people in this peaceful and creatively stimulating environment. Both rooms are in their own wing of the house and each room is en-suite. The house is only a three minute walk from one of the most stunning coastlines in the UK, with views across to the neighbouring Islands.
