The Board of Directors wishes to advise customers that, due to ongoing volatility in global fuel markets and the significant increase in marine fuel costs, a temporary fuel surcharge will be introduced across passenger and freight services with immediate effect.

This measure has been agreed with the Chief Pleas of Sark through the Harbours, Shipping & Pilotage Committee following discussions regarding the exceptional increase in operating costs currently being experienced by the Company.

As Sark’s year-round lifeline ferry operator, the Company must ensure that essential passenger and freight services remain financially sustainable whilst continuing to provide safe and reliable operations for the island community and visitors alike.

The surcharge will be kept under continual review, and the Company will maintain a close watching brief on fuel market conditions to ensure that any additional charges remain appropriate, proportionate, and fair.

We would like to thank customers, islanders, and stakeholders for their understanding and continued support during this period of exceptional market uncertainty.
